Dog Owners Receive PATENT FOR NEW BONE-SHAPED DISH
New Dog Dish Reduces Ear Contact with Food and Water
Marysville, WA, January 30, 2006 - Two dog owners have been awarded a patent for their “Ear-resistible”™ animal feeding dish. Frequent ear infections affecting their cocker spaniel inspired them to invent this unique and functional product.
Many dogs are candidates for or currently suffer from chronic ear infections, particularly long ear breeds. The currently available animal feeding dishes are typically round and problematic for long ear dogs. They allow ears to come in contact with food and water increasing the chance of ear infection, dermatitis, and offensive odor. Dogbone, Inc. has invented a solution to this long-standing problem.
The distinctive narrow design of the “Ear-resistible”™ animal feeding dishes only allow a dog’s jaw to open in the elongated direction of the dish. This naturally places the dog’s ears outside the food and water area keeping them clean and dry thus reducing the risk of infection. In addition to the health benefits of keeping ears out of food and water these dishes can minimize time spent on burdensome grooming.
All Dogbone, Inc. dishes are manufactured in the USA using food grade material to assure quality, value, and performance. The dishes are available in four sizes to ensure the proper dish for every dog’s size, thirst and appetite. All “Ear-resistible”™ dishes sell for under $20.00 and are currently available online at www.dogboneinc.com or by contacting Dogbone, Inc at 425-280-7996.
The inventors say the newly patented bone-shaped dishes are “functional, appealing, and fun and although specifically designed for long ear dogs, they serve all dogs effectively.”
Dogbone, Inc was established in 2004 by two dog owners whose cocker spaniel battled chronic ear infections and grooming problems with their cocker spaniel. Products are currently available online at www.dogboneinc.com or by contacting Dogbone, Inc @ 425-280-7996.
